•Herbs Once a diagnosis has been made, Dr. Osorojos may prescribe a herbal regime to be followed between treatments.
•E-Stim Especially for pain or physical trauma, electro-stimulation may be used. Once needles are inserted, a micro-current of energy is sent to the acupuncture points. The sensation is often described as a light ‘tapping’ and this extra stimulation can speed healing.
•Moxibustion The burning of therapeutic-grade mugwort over points may be called for when ‘coldness’ or deficiencies complicate matters.
